that's the link to the website. i want to get a 52mm adapter.so please tell me do i have to buy both the adapter and the teleconverter lens and can i just use my adapter to use the Hoya Circular Polarizer 52mm?
You won't have to buy a teleconverter to use a filter; the 52mm adapter is threaded for 52mm accessories, including filters. A Hoya 52mm Circular Polarizer should screw directly into the adapter without problems.
Polarizers provide color and contrast enhancement. Reflected light often shows up as whitish glare that washes out color in an image. A Polarizer corrects this problem producing deep, dramatically blue skies. It also removes glare from non-metallic surfaces, such as windows and water. Color saturation in general, especially outdoors, can be improved significantly.
Circular Polarizing Filters are used to increase color saturation, like darkening blue skies so that white clouds stand out. It eliminates reflections from non-metallic surfaces like glass and water. It helps reduce softness in scenery caused by atmospheric haze. This filter will not change the overall color balance of a photograph....
Safeguard your lens and absorb UV light. Film and video are more sensitive to UV light than our eyes are. This often shows up as a bluish cast in images, especially shots from high altitudes and long distances, particularly over water. Ultra Violet filters are available in a variety of UV absorption levels....
Light rays which are reflected by any surface become polarised and polarising filters are used to select which light rays enter your camara lens. They allow you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc. They also saturate colors and increase contrast. Polarizers come in two variations but have the same effect. Linear polarizers work with older camera m...

Adapter Canon Cannon Cannon Power Shot S2 IS uploading?
We are new to using cameras of this high quality (at least high for us). My daughter picked up a used S2 IS that is in very good condition. However it did not come with the Canon Digital Camera Solution Disk Ver.24. so we are having trouble uploading pixs to our PC. I am using MGi Photosuite photo software to upload the memory card via a USB adapter. What we are finding is that not all of the pictures are being uploaded so we do not know if the missing pictures are in an internal camera memory or are just not uploading. We can see them on the LCD screen when the mem card is installed in the camera. When we plug the camera directly into the PC via the USB cable it isn't recognized.
I checked the Cannon site and the Canon Digital Camera Solution Disk Ver.24 program is not available for download. Where can I get this software or is there some other program we can use to get all the pictures to upload?
Purchase a separate SD memory card reader [USB 2.0] which you can connect to your PC and it should download all your pictures from the camera to your desktop. There's no need for the software since you are bypassing the USB port and any software support.

I have a Metz 76 MZ-5 and have been trying to find some accessories to help modify the light, so far I have found lastolite’s eazybox hot shoe for a soft box and I have a stofen diffuser however I seem to have limited options compared to someone with a standard hotshoe flash as most modifiers (such as interfit strobies and honl) are too small to fit the metz.
Has anyone had any experience/advice with this?
Umbrellas won't matter what size the Metz flash head is - worth a try for soft light. Re: beauty dishes/snoots - have you considered DIY?
I made a beauty dish from a stainless steel bowl & aluminium plate as a return (sprayed the inside with white car primer & the outside black) and snoots are pretty easy to make from any stiff material such as card.

A dramatic, eye catching photo can mean dramatic profits. Getting a well exposed photo is extremely important. Photographers often turn to a flash to help light the scene. The problem is that flash can cause harsh reflections or glare spots or create deep shadows that distract viewers. This little, portable universal external flash diffuser will prevent those problems when using a flash. Simply pu...

Worlds first book written to illustrate the on-camera spot metering technique for 35mm, Digital, and Medium Format photographers: All types of metering systems used in different cameras (with the exception of the on-camera spotmeter operated by a skilled photographer) use a "cookie-cutter" approach to photographic exposure. What this means is the camera meter measures the various tones of your...
